Phartacology

I gave a lecture on GI pharmacology today…not the nicest or most thrilling topic what with having to discuss how to treat constipation, diarrhoea, haemorrhoids etc etc but the students seemed to have fun, mostly because one bright spark, with an evil look in his eye, asked me to explain why ‘bad smelling puffs’ come out of the rectum!

I was not going to take the bait, I picked up my chalk, headed to the blackboard and drew him a spectacular diagram, detailing all he needed to know…It wasn’t that I particularly thought he deserved such a masterpiece but more that I needed to face the wall and compose my face from suppressed grin to concerned interest, before I turned round to ask if there were any more questions.

Not so sure about this being a teacher lark…

Hey there Clare in Malawi

It's Clare in Mongolia here. Hope all's going well. Can't believe what a prolific and descriptive blogger you are! We're all still in ICT over here (arrived three weeks ago) and itching to get started.

My blog's a bit sparse, but have a squizz if you're up for a complete change of scenery...

All the best, Clare.
