Ali has been teaching the Trauma module and so we’ve been practising CPR etc with the students. I took my group outside and split them up into pairs so they could demonstrate what to do and show me what they’d learnt.
Well, I’ve never seen anything like it…
One of them actually started doing chest compressions on his friend - I shrieked loudly…
Another one got stuck in the groove on the checking for a response – ‘hello, my friend…hello, my friend…hello, my friend…’ – I booted him on after about 5 hellos…
One got past the checking for danger, got no response and so knelt down beside the casualty and instructed him to ‘open your ears, open your ears’ - good grief…..
