When elephants fight, its the grass that suffers

It is well known that the Nurses Council and the Nurses Organisation (the sort of Union) do not get on - there has been an on-going but civil war for a long while. This week it escalated to sniping at eachother in the national press!

On Monday NONM put a press release in the paper advertising a new Institute that will provide training for health professionals and allow them to gain CPD points. Hurrah, you'd think, anything helping provide training is a good thing is it?

Well, BossLady here at the Council didn't think so - she immediately wrote a press realease of her own and the popped it in the paper.

NONM have been trained in CPD but not accredited to deliver national courses but they would be allowed to if the Council knew what they wanted to run and peformed an accreditation visit. Will that happen? No! Neither can bear the others presence or return a phone call. It seems to be stalemate in the clash of the nursing elephants and all the poor people that just want to be trained are caught in the middle.
