Job. Done.

The CPD programme is officially launched – Malawi’s nurses and midwives are in for a treat!!

It hasn’t be easy getting it this far but I knew we’d get there ! With a fair few late nights and much last minute rushing about, Wednesday came and went all too quickly to take everything in. It was a great day though, a promising start to this new chapter in Malawi’s healthcare and an exciting end to my time here.

The banners went up around town and we all congregated at the hotel the afternoon before to watch the decorations committee put the finishing touches to the room where the launch was to be held.

The Chairman of the Decorations Committee hears the news from the PinkLady that the Guest of Honour has changed his mind and may not be coming after all.

Next day, bright and early, the guests start arriving...

"My friend, what are we here for again?"

"CPD, my friend. C-P-D."

"Ah-haa, Zikomo!"

Mr Accountant and part time poet - he wrote a poem all about CPD!

"Hello...are you still with us?"

The Dancing Boys - happy in their work!

The Honorable Minister of Health

The Comedy Duo - all in chichewa so didn't understand terribly much but most people seemed to enjoy it

Some, but not all!
