My two next door neighbours needed outfits for their ‘alter-ego’ fancy dress party on Saturday night – the spent the afternoon rooting through the bag of clothes that my family brought out last month and after much ummm-ing & ahhh-ing choose to be lady secretaries!
I nearly died laughing (I think I, embarrassingly, snorted at one point) as they tried on various outfits – strappy tops and scoop neck jumpers, floaty skirts and pretty cardis. After flinging most of them round my room (like all girlies do when getting dressed!) and with several trips to the mirror to do a twirl and check out their vpls, they finally settled on their outfits… Secretary no.1 had on a pale lavender pencil skirt with sleeveless black roll neck and matching cardigan, complete with delicate purple earrings. Secretary no 2 chose a navy pleated skirt, just below the knee with a fetching autumnal coloured shirt, African bead necklace and copper hair clips.
They went down a storm I believe, Secretary no 1 delighted in his compliments, Secretary no 2 wasn’t so impressed as people said he was frumpy!
